Joining INCOSE and INCOSE Connect

A membership in the International Council on Systems Engineering will expand your view of the engineering of complex systems and your knowledge of the many aspects of the practice. INCOSE membership takes dedication, and that is the hallmark of the organization. If you are looking for a community of peers, resources for your career, and a place to be a leader, INCOSE is for you. INCOSE members stand out and are often sought after as experts. They share practices and learn from each other, create products, produce events, and represent the organization in international forums, increasing the body of knowledge and advancing the practice of systems engineering.

As a member you have the opportunity to network with over 25,000 practitioners in systems engineering. This includes 60+ chapters, 40+ working groups, and 4,000+ certified systems engineers. The Chesapeake Chapter serves a network of systems engineers in the Maryland area.

For over 30 years, INCOSE has championed the art, science, discipline, and practice of systems engineering. INCOSE provides its individual and corporate members with a wealth of knowledge opportunities that enable them to meet and network in this dynamic, global community of practitioners, stakeholders, and academicians.

At the local level, the Chesapeake Chapter hosts monthly meetings on topics of interest. Presentations from local and international speakers, panels, and paper presentations encourage member participation. The Chapter hosts tutorials on subjects of interest to systems engineers and is open to both INCOSE members and non-members, with programs held every third Wednesday of the month. The Chapter frequently collaborates with other professional societies on topics of mutual interest to enrich our professional learning environment.

There are a number of ways a member can support the Chapter. There is always a need for volunteers to serve on the Board of Directors, as a Committee Chair, or — if you have less time but want to contribute — to work on a Committee or serve as an Ambassador if you have a relationship with an organization that shares a mutual professional interest with the Chapter. Please consider taking an active role in our Chapter and helping us be successful.
