Risa Gorospe, CSEP
President 2026 (President-Elect 2025 · Secretary 2025)
Risa Gorospe is a systems engineering professional at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL). She has worked various roles in systems engineering that span the systems engineering lifecycle such as requirements development, modeling and simulation, and integration and test. She is currently a lead systems engineering analyst providing thought leadership in digital systems engineering while supporting missile defense, navy and other government sponsors. She has a Bachelors in Computer Engineering from Villanova University, a Masters in Computer Science from the Johns Hopkins University and is an INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP).
Shannon Dubicki
Past President 2026 (President-Elect 2024 · President 2025)
Shannon Dubicki is a systems engineering professional and group supervisor at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL) where she supports multiple government sponsors throughout the systems engineering lifecycle. She promotes the use of good systems engineering practices, ensures the quality of systems engineering work products, and serves as a technical mentor to junior staff members. She also teaches multiple MBSE courses at Johns Hopkins University. She holds a Bachelors in Mathematics and Computer Science from McDaniel College and a Masters in System Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University.
Sam Ren
Communications Director (Communications-Elect 2024 · Communications 2025-2026)
Sam Ren works full-time at the JHU Applied Physics Laboratory as a data systems engineer supporting the modernization of data processes for national supply chains. Sam recently served as the Educational Coordinator for the JHU/APL Young Professionals Network Club and helped plan educational events. He also served as the webmaster for the APL Toastmasters club.
Hanish Mehta
Treasurer (2023–2026)
Hanish serves as a Staff Systems Engineer at Wabtec Corp., contributing to the advancement of railway technology. Prior to his current role, Hanish worked at M.C.Dean Inc. as a Systems Integration Engineer on significant transit projects in the DC-MD-VA area.
Hanish holds a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. During his time at UMD, he served as a Graduate Research & Teaching Assistant under the guidance of Dr. John Baras, contributing to both research and education in the field. He also gained field experience through a co-op with Fluor Corp.
Hanish holds the following degrees: B.S. in Applied Engineering Sciences from the Michigan State University. M.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Hanish is a dedicated member of INCOSE, currently serving as Treasurer to the Chesapeake Chapter. He has previously held two leadership roles within the INCOSE UMD chapter and is currently enrolled in the prestigious INCOSE Technical Leadership Institute (TLI) program. He is a certified ASEP and has been honored with the INCOSE Chesapeake Chapter Member Scholarship.
Harish Jayaraj

Harish Jayaraj leads Digital Engineering organization for Connected Aviation Solution BU within Collins Aerospace | An RTX Business
His educational experiences include: Bachelor of Engineering from RVCE, Bangalore University. MBA in Technical Management from IIT, Mumbai. He is CSEP certified and also part of the Technical Leadership Institute ( cohort 3). He is PMP certified as well.
He responsible for driving Digital Engineering practices like DevSecOps, Model based system engineering and cloud adoption within the organization.
He has vast experience in avionics product development and has lead large organizations that develop critical system of system for airplanes, like Cockpit display systems, Head Up displays, Flight management systems etc.. His experience includes working on developing compliers, emulators and space and time partitioned real time operating systems. He has been instrumentals in establishing Global Engineering & Technology Center in India to support the growing business needs of the organization. He is an INCOSE Sr CAR (Certification Authorized representative) and part of Technical Leadership institute supporting various system engineering working groups. He has also held various leadership positions for the INCOSE India chapter.
